A Brief History

The first known church in the parish of Speen was listed in the Domesday book in 1086. The current church was originally built in the 17th Century and parts of that original church building still exist today, but were added to in the 18th century and a major expansion in the 1850s by the Rev'd. William Henry Majendie. The extended section of the church is now the church hall, and named the Majendie Hall after its builder.
